Sugarpie or Sweetpea? Compare the two Cozy Dinkums unicorns on color, price, and cuddle factor to pick the right soft unicorn toy for your toddler.
Quick answer
Choose Sugarpie if you want a classic pink unicorn with shimmering wings and a twinkling purple horn, and Sweetpea if you prefer dreamy lilac fur with sparkling wings and a shimmering horn. Both are soft, huggable Cozy Dinkums unicorns; the main differences are color and price.
Color and personality: pink vs lilac
Sugarpie comes in a delightful pink shade with soft blush fur, shimmering wings, and a twinkling purple horn. Sweetpea features soft lavender fur, sparkling wings, and a shimmering horn. The color difference is the most obvious trade-off: pink tends to feel bright and classic, while lilac feels calm and dreamy. Neither is more 'correct'—it depends on the child's preference or the nursery palette.
Because both are unicorn plush for toddlers, the color choice may also influence how the toy fits into bedtime routines. A lilac unicorn can feel soothing, while a pink one may feel more playful. Keep in mind that the catalog does not specify exact fur texture or size, so if those details matter, check the product page or contact the store.
Price and value
At the time of writing, Sugarpie is listed at USD 33.00 (compared to a catalog comparison price of USD 44.00), and Sweetpea is listed at USD 32.12 (also compared to USD 44.00). The price difference is small—under a dollar—so it should not be the deciding factor unless you are bundling multiple items. Both offer similar value as a soft unicorn toy.
Remember that prices can change and may not include shipping or taxes. The comparison price is a reference, not a guarantee of savings. If you are choosing between the two, prioritize color and availability over the minor price gap.
What the catalog doesn't tell you
The supplied product facts do not include dimensions, weight, or washing instructions. If your toddler is particularly rough with toys or you need a specific size for a gift, look for those details on the product page or ask customer service. This limitation applies equally to both unicorns, so it doesn't favor one over the other—but it's worth checking before you buy.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Color preference: Sugarpie is pink with blush fur; Sweetpea is lilac with lavender fur. Pick based on the child's favorite color or your nursery decor. If you're unsure, pink tends to be a traditional choice, while lilac feels more unique.
- Price difference: Sugarpie is USD 33.00 and Sweetpea is USD 32.12 (both compared to USD 44.00). The difference is minimal, so don't let it override color choice unless you're buying multiple. Check current prices before ordering, as they may change.
- Wing and horn details: Both have shimmering or sparkling wings and a shimmering or twinkling horn. Sugarpie's horn is described as twinkling purple, while Sweetpea's is shimmering. These are subtle variations; both are designed to spark imagination.
- Availability: Since both are Cozy Dinkums unicorns, stock may vary. If one is out of stock, the other is a close alternative with similar features. Consider signing up for back-in-stock alerts if your first choice is unavailable.
